- General Counselling
We provide clients with general counselling to address their day-to-day legal concerns.. Under a general retainer service agreement with the Firm, Clients are able to access our services in full without obtaining the associated financial costs. Our lawyers can give clients timely advice on specific legal queries, corporate compliance matters, simple contract reviews, and advice on potential litigation concerns. Retainer clients can draw from the experience coming from core practice area of the Firm to help them evaluate and avoid unnecessary legal risk and become pro-active in its business decisions.
We assess, develop and structure the retainer agreement to fit the client's legal needs to support the growth and success of its business.
- Environment Law
The increasing importance of environmental law made the Firm focus on this emerging legal concern. In the last five years, we have developed a comprehensive environmental law practice that uses a multi-disciplinary approach in addressing environmental issues of clients. The Firm’s environmental practice is designed to make its clients technically and legally compliant with environmental regulations.
The firm ensures that all of its lawyers who handle environmental law concerns are not only legally but technically competent to understand environmental issues given the complexity and multi-disciplinary nature of this particular field of practice. Most of our lawyers are qualified Environmental Pollution Control Officers (PCO) and are accredited as such by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The Firm handles environmental compliance, mediation and litigation, and matters before the courts and administrative agencies with environmental regulation mandates.
The environmental law practice of the firm is supervised by Atty. Pulido who has an extensive and updated training and experience in this field from Vermont Law School, the premiere environmental law school in the United States of America.
- Land Titling and Registration
Land law is one of the more traditional area of practice of the Firm. We have served clients, both private and public, in various land matter concerns from land administration policy reforms to court representations. Our lawyers have worked with land surveyors, foresters and other professionals, drawing deeply from one of our partner's extensive experience in land administration laws, rules and regulations as former chief executive of the LMB. The land law practice of the Firm is supervised by Atty. Tiamson.
- Labor and Employment
The Firm helps client navigates the broad array of laws that govern the relationships between the rights and duties of employers, employees and labor unions. Our practice involves counseling clients concerning all aspects of the employer-employee relationship and collective bargaining agreement negotiations. We represent both management and labor unions. We also provide labor arbitration representation and labor litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
The general labor law practice is supervised by Atty. Del Rosario while the labor union practice is supervised by Atty. Pulido.
- Litigation
The Firm has an extensive and successful practice in civil, criminal and administrative litigation. Our Litigation Department is headed by Atty. Pulido who is acknowledged as one of the leading litigators in the Philippines. Recently, the Firm has expanded its practice to the prosecution of cyber frauds committed against telecommunication companies.
- Family Law
We advice and represent clients in court in all areas of family law and have the experience to assist and help on issues relating to marriage, custody of children, and property relations. The Firm supports the emancipation of women and is an advocate against violence on women and children. Our lawyers will find practical and effective solutions for family related issues that will try to minimize the emotional strain without sacrificing the family rights of the client.
- Immigration
The Firm helps support clients deal with immigration matters so that they can focus more on their core business concerns. We represent clients to secure visas as investors or to employ foreign workers in the Philippines under Section 9 (d) and (g) of the Philippine Immigration Act.
- Pro-Bono
The Firm strives to mold its lawyers into responsible members of the legal community by participating in public discussions of social issues, taking part in policy formulation and contributing directly to the legal aid program of the Arellano University School of Law. Our commitment to the Legal Aid program of Arellano is exceptional and every lawyer in the firm is encouraged to participate. Thus, the lawyers render free legal services to qualified individuals and help train law student interns and volunteers. They provide free legal assistance and consultations to the less fortunate members of the community, as well as provide representation in both judicial and administrative matters. As supervising attorneys in the legal aid program, the lawyers of the Firm train the student interns and volunteers and provide them the opportunity to experience first hand, the intricacies of legal practice in the Philippines."
